Billing/Reports Analyst
| Billing/Reports Analyst Department: Billing Schedule: Fulltime Shift: Day Hours: Job Details: * BA or Equivalent * 1 to 2 years related experience * Summary The Billing Analyst will be responsible and report to the Director of Billing & A/R for the tasks required in analyzing, monitoring & submission of billing/AR. Analysis of billing and A/R is conducted through analysis of reports, review and analysis of processes and procedures, including trend analysis. This position requires knowledge of accounts receivable, its processes and procedures. Excellent analytical skills are a must. This position requires EXCEL and ACCESS skills. Communication & teamwork skills are a must. Must be able to work in a culturally diverse environment. Job Duties: -Process and submit claims file to Magellan weekly, reviewing file prior to submission for permanent IDs. -Prepare weekly Magellan claims submitted and unsubmitted reports for Director, including issues or problems that effect ability to bill all claims -Prepare weekly statistical reports from EOB showing paid, pended and denied claims/dollars including YTD status of production versus encountered and a denied analysis for review by Director. Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, or business administration and at least two ears experience in finance, auditing, corporate compliance, or contracts preferably in a behavioral health managed care environment.
· Knowledge of basic requirements for documentation of behavioral health services, clinical operations, and treatment of mental and substance abuse disorders.
· Knowledge of general rules and regulations governing federally funded clinical programs. Standards of care related to the provision of behavioral health service and their taxonomy. Utilization review/quality assurance principles and terminology.
· Ability to work well independently and with little need for supervision. Identifying and analyzing problems and recommending solutions.
· Possess excellent analytical skills. Ability to process electronic reports. Proficient in Word and Excel.
